The Nortel NTCA70LK is a 2.5G WT pack, a 2.5 Gbit/s wavelength translator for Nortel Optical Metro shelves. Packs of this type convert a client signal onto a set transport wavelength so it can be multiplexed with the other channels on the fibre.

Optical Metro and OPTera Metro systems, later carried forward by Ciena, are still transporting traffic in metro and regional fibre networks.
