NORTEL NTEU14AA: STM-40 tributary card for the Nortel OPTera Metro 4200 optical transport platform.

The Nortel NTEU14AA is an STM-40 tributary card, providing an STM-40 tributary interface into the platform’s SDH/DWDM transport, part of the Nortel OPTera Metro 4200 optical transport platform. OPTera Metro 4200 is an SDH/DWDM-generation optical transmission system used to multiplex and carry voice, data and video traffic over metro and regional fibre-optic networks, and its modular chassis accepts a range of transponder, tributary, aggregate and control cards so each network element can be configured for its specific role. OPTera Metro 4200 equipment remains in service across a number of established metro optical transport networks, and genuine Nortel spares are a routine requirement for maintaining these deployments, restoring redundancy after a card failure, or expanding an existing network element. Confirm the exact shelf slot, revision and channel/band assignment this unit is replacing before ordering, since precise provisioning can vary by network element. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) carries Nortel OPTera Metro 4200 spares for engineers maintaining or expanding an existing network element; get in touch to confirm fit before ordering.
