The Nortel NTN070BF is a 1400W rectifier module for Nortel’s S-series GSM base transceiver station cabinet range (S8000/S12000/S18000), the same power-system family as the platform’s documented NTN0-prefixed rectifier and power-amplifier modules. It converts incoming AC mains to the DC rail the BTS cabinet’s radio, baseband and control shelves run from, working alongside sibling rectifier modules to provide the cabinet’s total power budget with N+1 redundancy.

S-series BTS cabinets are Nortel’s macrocellular GSM base station platform, built around a modular cabinet design that scales from single-TRX sites up to large multi-cabinet installations. Installations on this platform remain in service across a number of established GSM networks, and genuine spares such as this one are a routine requirement for maintaining full power capacity or restoring redundancy after a rectifier failure.
