The Nortel NTYS18AA70E6 is a Nortel (later Avaya) 1210 IP Phone, a single-line desk telephone from the Nortel/Avaya 1200 IP Phone Series aimed at small and medium business deployments. It supports up to eight fixed telephony keys, four context-sensitive soft keys and two shortcut/feature keys, with a 3-line by 24-character backlit display, an integrated headset jack and speakerphone, and a built-in 10/100BASE-T Ethernet switch with separate LAN and PC ports so a desktop computer can share the same network drop. The phone supports 802.3af Power over Ethernet as well as local AC power via an external adapter, and is well suited to lobbies, break rooms or other common areas needing basic telephony. Nortel/Avaya 1200-series deployments of this generation remain in service across a number of established business phone systems, and genuine handsets such as this one are useful for expanding or maintaining an existing installation.
