The Siemens S32006-Q1019-X1-/J-ZVLL is an M:AMXE (ATM Multiplexer Type-E) card used within the SSNC (Small Switching Network Controller) of a Siemens (Nokia Siemens Networks) EWSD digital telephone exchange. The AMXE provides multiple ATM interfaces that connect the SSNC’s internal LIC (Line Interface Card) and MP (Multi-Processor) units, and link the optical cabling through to the AMP unit of the Coordination Processor (CP) and the MBDA unit of the Message Buffer (MB), effectively acting as the internal ATM interconnect for the exchange’s packet-handling subsystem. EWSD (Elektronisches Wahlsystem Digital) was Siemens’ core digital exchange platform, deployed globally and still supported in many legacy fixed and ISDN networks that require genuine spares.
