The Ubiquiti ETH-SP-G2 is a second-generation Ethernet Surge Protector designed to safeguard Gigabit Ethernet equipment from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and power surges. This inline protection device connects between outdoor Ethernet cabling and indoor networking equipment, providing essential surge suppression for PoE and non-PoE installations.

The ETH-SP-G2 is primarily deployed in outdoor wireless networking installations where Ubiquiti access points, bridges, and other edge devices are exposed to lightning strikes and electrical transients. It is commonly used with UniFi and airMAX equipment to protect both the network device and the connected switch or router infrastructure.

This surge protector supports Gigabit Ethernet throughput and is suitable for protecting equipment in locations prone to electrical storms or where long cable runs increase susceptibility to induced surges.
