ZTE ZXSDR B8200 ZXSDR Series Base Station Module

The ZTE ZXSDR B8200 is a baseband processing unit designed for use in ZTE’s distributed base station architecture. It handles digital signal processing functions including baseband modulation, demodulation, and channel coding for LTE mobile networks. The B8200 connects to remote radio units via CPRI fibre links, forming the indoor baseband component of a split-architecture base station deployment.

This unit is a core component of ZTE’s ZXSDR series base station platform, supporting macro cell and high-capacity network deployments. It is typically installed in equipment rooms or cabinets and interfaces with the radio access network backhaul infrastructure whilst controlling multiple remote radio heads in the field.

The ZXSDR B8200 represents an earlier generation of ZTE’s LTE baseband technology. Whilst still deployed in many existing networks, it has been superseded by newer baseband units in ZTE’s current product portfolio. This makes it suitable for network maintenance, capacity expansions, and like-for-like replacements in established ZTE LTE deployments.
