3Com 3C16491 Baseline Switch 2426-PWR Plus Series Datacentre Switch

The 3Com 3C16491 is a 3Com Baseline Switch 2426-PWR Plus, a web-managed Layer 2 switch with twenty-four PoE-enabled 10/100 ports and two dual-purpose Gigabit ports that can run as copper or SFP-based fibre. It delivers enterprise-class features such as VLANs, IEEE 802.1X authentication and Rapid Spanning Tree at a price point aimed at small and mid-sized organisations. The built-in Power over Ethernet lets it feed access points, VoIP phones and IP security cameras directly over the same Ethernet cable, removing the need for separate injectors. All ports run at non-blocking wirespeed, and manual link aggregation is supported for grouping ports into higher-bandwidth uplinks to the network core. This model was also sold under HP’s Baseline 2000 Switch Series branding during the HP/3Com transition, so it’s found under either name in the field.
