The IBM 41U9481 is a bulk power controller (BPC). The BPC is the intelligence of an IBM frame’s power subsystem. It monitors and controls the bulk power regulators and the distribution assemblies, reports their state to the service processor and the hardware management console, and sequences power up and power down across the frame. Frames carry a pair for redundancy. The controller is specific to the machine type, so tell us what it is going into.
