The IBM 00LP781 is a genuine 16GB DDR3-1600MHz (PC3-12800) CDIMM, feature code EM8B, CCIN 31E8, built specifically for IBM Power8 servers including the 8286-41A, 8286-42A and 8247-42L. This is IBM’s proprietary Custom DIMM (CDIMM) form factor, which embeds the Centaur memory buffer chip directly on the module, so it is not interchangeable with standard DDR3 RDIMMs from any x86 vendor and only functions in these specific Power8 hosts. The alternate cross-reference numbers IBM has issued for the same module are 00JA660, 00VK193, among others.
