The IBM 43X5059 is a 1GB DDR2-667MHz (PC2-5300) fully-buffered DIMM, CL5, 240-pin, 1Rx8, at 1.8V. Fully-buffered DIMMs of this generation were used on IBM server platforms that required the higher memory-channel scaling FB-DIMM technology enabled before DDR3 registered/load-reduced modules took over that role.

FB-DIMM memory is not interchangeable with conventional registered DIMMs, so genuine replacement modules of this exact speed and buffering type are needed when expanding or repairing memory on a system built for it.
