The Digital Equipment Corporation DVNGV-MX is a VNswitch 900GV module, adding a single Gigabit Ethernet port to a DEChub 900 MultiSwitch chassis. The VNswitch range added switching and routing to what began as a hub platform, and the GV variant was its gigabit option, normally used to feed the chassis from a campus backbone rather than to connect end stations.

DEChub 900 MultiSwitch chassis are still found in long-lived campus and industrial installations, and modules are ordered as spares because the platform has no current equivalent. Digital’s network products division went to Cabletron Systems in 1998.
