The Hirschmann MS2108-2 is a genuine Hirschmann MICE (Modular Industrial Compact Ethernet) MS2108-2 base switch, part of Hirschmann’s MICE 2000 family of managed industrial Ethernet switches built to IEEE 802/802.3u standards over copper or fibre in bus or ring topologies. The MS2108-2 base unit accepts Hirschmann’s MB-2T expansion module to add two further media slots, letting an installer build up a switch configuration to match a specific industrial network. As a managed switch it supports the usual VLAN, QoS and port-mirroring feature set used in factory-floor and utility network deployments.
