Hirschmann

Hirschmann was founded in Germany in 1924 and became the leading name in rail-mounted industrial Ethernet, building managed switches, media converters and connectivity for factory floors, rail networks, energy substations and other places where ordinary office networking equipment does not survive. Its MICE range is a modular industrial switch built around a base unit that accepts interface modules, so a site can be specified port by port and extended later. Belden acquired Hirschmann Automation and Control in March 2007 and the range is now sold alongside Belden cabling.
