The Siemens S30810-Q2266-X is an LTUCA (Line/Trunk Unit Control, Advanced) board for Siemens HiPath 3800, HiPath 4000 and AP3700 communication systems. Contrary to what the name suggests, it is not a PSTN trunk card. The LTUCA is the interface between the system’s central control and the peripheral board shelves. It selects the signals from the active control unit and distributes them to the peripheral boards in the LTU (Line/Trunk Unit) shelf, then passes the return signals from those boards back to common control. The Advanced variant carries this traffic as a multiplexed data flow over high-speed CAT5 cabling (HSC, RJ45), replacing the earlier LTU cabling. It is supplied in successive hardware versions from X-10 to X-15 and remains in demand for maintaining and extending installed HiPath 3800/4000 and AP3700 systems.
