The Siemens S30810-Q2187-X-3 is a SIUX2 (Signalling Interface Unit) board for the Hicom 300E / 300H and HiPath 4000 communication systems. Rather than terminating subscriber lines, it provides centralised in-band signalling: the board sends and receives DTMF and MFC (multi-frequency code) tones across eight channels to and from trunk and subscriber circuits, and carries out line measurement and diagnostic tests on the switching network.

The SIUX2 supports several operating modes, each loaded with different firmware to match regional DTMF and MFC signalling requirements. It is the successor to the earlier SIUX board and uses the SIPAC connector format in place of the older SIVAPAC connector.

This is a legacy component from the Siemens Hicom / HiPath enterprise portfolio, now part of the Unify / OpenScape range. SIUX2 boards remain in demand for maintaining and repairing established Hicom 300 and HiPath 4000 installations where these signalling and test functions are still required.
