The Dell TMXPM is a W-IAP155 Instant Access Point designed for enterprise wireless networking deployments. This compact access point provides wireless LAN connectivity and operates using Dell’s Instant AP architecture, enabling controller-less operation where one access point acts as the virtual controller for the cluster.

The W-IAP155 is part of Dell’s collaboration with Aruba Networks, featuring the Instant operating mode that simplifies deployment in small to medium enterprise environments. It supports dual-band 802.11n wireless connectivity and is designed for indoor installations where centralised controller infrastructure is not required or practical.

This access point represents an earlier generation of Dell’s wireless portfolio, predating the HPE acquisition of Aruba Networks. While it may be considered legacy equipment, it remains functional for environments with existing Dell Instant AP deployments or where compatibility with older wireless standards is required.
