Avaya 847749017 DEFINITY PBX Card / Module

The Avaya 847749017 is a TN754C DCP Digital Line circuit pack, an eight-port 4-wire card that connects digital station equipment to Avaya DEFINITY and Communication Manager systems. Each of its eight 4-wire DCP ports supports Avaya 7400-series and 8400-series digital telephones, 302-series attendant consoles, and DCP data modules, so it operates as a station (line-side) interface rather than a trunk card.

The TN754C provides administrable A-law and Mu-law companding and connects to the system TDM bus to carry voice and signalling to each connected endpoint. It is used across DEFINITY and G3-series PBX installations wherever additional digital extension capacity is required. Although the DEFINITY platform has been superseded by Avaya Aura, many organisations keep these systems in service, so the TN754C remains in steady demand for expansion and spares.
