Huawei 039978 OptiX OSN Telecom System Card / Module

The Huawei 039978 is an SSE3OPUC03C C-band Optical Pre-Amplifier Unit (OPU) for the Huawei OptiX OSN 6800 optical transport platform. As a pre-amplifier it sits at the receive end of a DWDM line, boosting the weak incoming multiplexed signal to a usable level before it is demultiplexed and passed to the receiving line boards, improving the optical signal-to-noise ratio at the far end of a span. The board is an erbium-doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) operating in the C-band, rated at around 23 dB of gain, with optical power monitoring on its ports for commissioning and performance management. It installs in OptiX OSN 6800 subracks alongside the platform’s booster amplifier and line boards. Tech Star supplies the 039978 as new or refurbished stock for the maintenance, repair and expansion of in-service OptiX OSN DWDM/OTN networks.
