The Alcatel 3AG24102AB is a FLCCONGI board for the Alcatel-Lucent 1678 MCC (Metro Core Connect) optical transport platform. The CONGI (Connection and General Interface) card handles the shelf’s general interface functions, including power supply feed and filtering, station and housekeeping alarms, and system connection points, providing the common-equipment services the shelf needs to operate.

It installs in a dedicated common-equipment slot of the 1678 MCC and works alongside the matrix, controller and traffic cards rather than carrying client traffic itself. The 1678 MCC is a high-density metro and core optical node that scales to hundreds of Gbit/s per shelf.

Part of the Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia) optical portfolio, this board is legacy equipment still used to maintain existing 1678 MCC installations.
