The Huawei QWL2WBBPB2 is a WBBPb2 (WCDMA BaseBand Processing) board for the BBU3900/BBU3910 baseband unit used in Huawei’s distributed BTS3900 base stations. It processes uplink and downlink WCDMA baseband signals and provides six CPRI ports for communication with the RF modules (WRFU/RRU). A single WBBPb2 supports up to three cells with 128 uplink and 128 downlink channel elements, together with HSDPA and HSUPA capacity, making it a core traffic-processing board in UMTS radio access networks. The board installs in a baseband processing slot of the BBU3900 subrack alongside the WMPT main control board. It is a legacy UMTS component still required for maintaining and expanding existing Huawei 3G networks.
