The Huawei WD2M0BBU5900 is a BBU5900 baseband unit, the central baseband processing element of Huawei’s DBS5900 distributed base station. Housed in a 2U chassis, it links the remote radio units to the core network and supports multi-standard operation across GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G NR.

The BBU5900 holds the main control, transmission and baseband processing boards of the base station and connects to the radio units over CPRI and eCPRI.
