Linksys PAP2T 2-port analogue telephone adapter (ATA) for VoIP.
The Linksys PAP2T is a two-port analogue telephone adapter (ATA) that connects standard analogue phones or fax machines to a VoIP service over an Ethernet network. It provides two FXS ports, each able to operate as an independent phone line with its own number when configured with a supporting VoIP provider.
The PAP2T supports the G.711 codec by default, along with G.729, though not simultaneously across both lines, and includes ITU V.42 (LAPM) error correction. An integrated interactive voice response (IVR) system, accessible from a phone connected to port 1, is used for on-device configuration. The adapter is powered by a 5V DC supply.
The PAP2T is widely deployed for connecting analogue handsets and fax machines into hosted or self-managed VoIP platforms. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) checks every adapter before it ships. Get in touch to confirm compatibility with your VoIP platform.
