The 3Com 3C17300 is a SuperStack 3 Switch 4226T, a fixed-configuration switch with twenty-four autosensing 10/100 copper ports for desktop and workgroup connections plus two autosensing 10/100/1000 copper uplink ports for Gigabit backbone or server connections. It forwards at up to 6.6 million packets per second, combining wire-speed Layer 2 switching with a compact, ready-to-run design.

Management is available via SNMP, a web interface or a command-line interface. Resiliency features include Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol and link aggregation on the two Gigabit uplink ports, with an optional redundant power supply. The unit measures 44 mm high, 440 mm wide and 274 mm deep, a standard 1U rack-mountable footprint shared across the Switch 4200 family.
