The Miteq MDDR-11G13G is a fibre-optic RF receiver covering the 11-13GHz Ku-band range, converting an optical RF-over-fibre signal back to coaxial RF for delivery to downstream satellite ground station equipment such as a downconverter or demodulator. It is designed to pair with the matching Miteq MDDT-11G13G transmitter, together forming a complete optical link that carries the Ku-band downlink signal over single-mode fibre between an antenna site and a remote equipment room. As with other units in Miteq’s MDD RF-over-fibre series, it is built to preserve signal integrity over long fibre runs where coaxial cable would introduce unacceptable loss, a common requirement at large teleports, broadcast uplink centres and remote antenna farms.
