The Siemens S32006-Q1126-X1-14/01 is an M:LIC:2A-P Line Interface Card (LIC) used within the Line/Trunk Group (LTG) of a Siemens (Nokia Siemens Networks) EWSD digital telephone exchange. Within the EWSD architecture, the LTG forms the interface between the exchange’s digital subscriber/trunk environment and the central switching network, and the LIC provides the physical line interface that carries signalling and payload between the LTG’s SSNC (Small Switching Network Controller) unit and the wider network, including SS7 signalling links. EWSD (Elektronisches Wahlsystem Digital) was Siemens’ flagship digital exchange platform, deployed worldwide from the late 1970s through to its discontinuation, and remains in service in many legacy fixed-line and ISDN networks that continue to need genuine spares for repair and expansion.
