The Juniper CFP-GEN2-100GBASE-LR is a 100 Gigabit Ethernet CFP2-generation optical transceiver module supporting the 100GBASE-LR4 standard, providing a single-mode fibre link of up to 10km at 1310nm over an LC duplex connector. The module carries the 100GbE signal across four independent optical lanes multiplexed with LAN WDM (wavelength-division multiplexing), each lane running at approximately 25.78Gbps for Ethernet applications, and operates from a single 3.3V supply within the standard 0 to 70 degrees C temperature range. Juniper Networks specifies this transceiver as compatible with its MX-series (including MX960), PTX-series (including PTX5000) and T-series (including T1600) routing platforms, where it provides long-reach 100G uplink or core interconnect capacity. Digital optical monitoring (DOM) is supported, allowing operators to read back transmit/receive power, temperature and bias current for link health monitoring.
