The Juniper SRX-MP-1T1E1 is a 1-port T1/E1 Mini-Physical Interface Module (Mini-PIM) for SRX Series Services Gateways, providing a T1 or E1 WAN connection with built-in CSU/DSU framing and line-speed signalling so no separate external device is required. Mini-PIMs insert into a dedicated slot on the front panel of the chassis; unlike the hot-swappable line cards used on Juniper’s M-series, MX-series and T-series routers, Mini-PIMs are field-replaceable but not hot-swappable, so the services gateway is powered down before one is installed or removed.
