Nortel NTTP04BF: OME 6500 OC-3/OC-12 SR-1 SFP transceiver, 1310nm, 2km reach.

The Nortel NTTP04BF is an OC-3/OC-12 SR-1 SFP transceiver for the OME 6500 (Optical Metro Edge) platform, providing 622Mbps OC-12 short-reach transmission over up to 2km of multimode fibre at 1310nm through an LC connector, fully compliant with the multi-source agreement (MSA) that lets it work in any MSA-compliant slot. It is a hot-swappable optical module rather than a fixed interface, so it can be moved between compatible OME 6500 line cards as a site’s optical interconnect requirements change. Genuine OME 6500 transceivers of this type are a routine spare for maintaining or restoring short-reach optical links on installations of this generation. Confirm the exact host card and required reach against your installation before ordering. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Nortel OME 6500 optics to support ongoing network maintenance projects.
