The Allied Telesis AT-2700-FX/ST is a 100BASE-FX-only PCI network interface card with an ST connector, 32-bit, full-duplex, with Wake-on-LAN support, part of Allied Telesis’s AT-27xx series of PCI NICs. Unlike the combination AT-2701FTX/ST, this card is fibre-only, suited to workstations or servers that need a dedicated fibre Fast Ethernet connection with no copper fallback. AT-27xx series cards of this generation remain a routine spares item for keeping older fibre-connected equipment running rather than replacing the whole machine.
