Designed for wireless backhaul and metro access networks, the BG-30B is a fully redundant, modular node that carries both Ethernet/MPLS packet traffic and legacy TDM services side by side, bridging the gap between older PDH/SDH transmission and modern IP-based transport. It accepts a range of plug-in interface modules (E1, E3, STM-1/4/16, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet) and can be deployed over fibre or microwave radio links, making it well suited to operators migrating cell sites from TDM to packet transport without a forklift upgrade.
