ECI Telecom

ECI Telecom is an Israeli telecommunications equipment manufacturer founded in 1961, known for transmission, access and optical networking platforms deployed by carriers worldwide. The company merged with Ribbon Communications in 2020. Its DTX digital transmission multiplexers served PDH and SDH access networks, while the later BG series, sold as BroadGate, brought compact and ruggedised multiservice packet-optical transport to sites where a full shelf was impractical. Both families remain in service across legacy transmission estates, so plug-in cards and shelf hardware are still sourced as maintenance spares.
