The Ericsson ROJ208386/2 is an SCXB2 (Switch Core Extension Board 2), a critical system module used within Ericsson’s AXE digital switching platform. This board forms part of the central switching fabric, handling high-capacity data and signalling traffic within the exchange core.

The SCXB2 is deployed in Ericsson AXE-based mobile switching centres (MSC) and fixed-line exchanges, where it supports the extension and scaling of switch core processing capacity. It works in conjunction with other APZ processor and group switch components to maintain call processing and system reliability.

This is a legacy module from Ericsson’s established AXE architecture, which has been widely deployed by telecommunications operators globally.
