The Fujitsu FC9565W8C1-ISS. 03 is an 88-channel selectable switch card for the Fujitsu FLASHWAVE 9500 Packet Optical Networking Platform (Packet ONP), part of the platform’s ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer) wavelength-switching card family. The FLASHWAVE 9500 fuses connection-oriented Ethernet, ROADM and SONET/SDH transport technologies on a single addressable optical network element, supporting DWDM systems with up to 88 wavelength channels. The W8C1 switch selects and routes individual DWDM wavelength channels within the optical network element, a core function of the platform’s reconfigurable add-drop capability.
