The HP 391835-B21 is a ProLiant DL380 G5 rack server supplied as a configure-to-order (CTO) chassis. This 2U dual-socket platform is built on the Intel 5000P chipset and accepts two Socket J (LGA 771) Intel Xeon processors, with eight fully buffered DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB of memory with Advanced ECC, mirrored and online-spare protection.

The front bays house up to eight small form factor (SFF) hot-plug SAS drives driven by a Smart Array controller, and the unit ships with a single 800W hot-plug power supply and two embedded Gigabit Ethernet ports. As a CTO base model it arrives without processors, memory or drives fitted, allowing the exact configuration to be specified at build time.

A widely deployed enterprise server of its generation, the DL380 G5 remains a dependable workhorse for general-purpose workloads. This unit is available refurbished, offering a cost-effective route to capacity expansion or like-for-like replacement.
