The HP ProCurve Switch 2524 (J4813A) is a managed, stackable Layer 2 switch offering 24 autosensing 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports plus two open transceiver slots for Gigabit Ethernet or fibre uplinks. It provides a non-blocking switching fabric rated at 9.6 Gbps with roughly 6.6 Mpps of throughput.

Management is available through ProCurve Manager or the CLI, with support for VLANs, RMON, SNMP, IGMP snooping, port security and Spanning Tree. HP Auto-MDIX removes the need for crossover cables, and up to 16 units can be stacked under a single management IP for simplified administration of larger deployments.
