The HP JG296A is a FlexFabric 5920AF-24XG switch providing 24 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via SFP+ interfaces. Designed for high-density data centre environments, this switch delivers the low-latency, high-bandwidth performance required for server aggregation, storage networking and virtualised infrastructure deployments.
Part of the HPE FlexFabric 5920 series, the JG296A supports data centre bridging technologies and is built for top-of-rack deployments where dense 10GbE connectivity is essential. The unit ships with dual power supplies and dual fans as standard, providing hardware redundancy for always-on environments.
The FlexFabric 5920 series represents HPE’s enterprise-class data centre switching portfolio. While newer platforms have since been introduced, the 5920AF-24XG remains a capable and cost-effective option for organisations maintaining existing HPE data centre fabrics or deploying budget-conscious 10GbE infrastructure.
