The Huawei 03070241107 is an MR2 board, a 2-channel optical add/drop multiplexing (OADM) module for Huawei OptiX DWDM transmission platforms. Operating in the C-band extended wavelength range, it multiplexes and demultiplexes two DWDM channels onto and off a shared fibre pair: one IN/OUT port carries the aggregated multiplexed signal, the A1/A2 and D1/D2 ports handle the individual add and drop channels to and from the OTU or integrated client-side equipment, and cascade ports (MI/MO) allow multiple MR2 boards to be concatenated for higher channel counts. The MR2 is typically deployed within Huawei OptiX OSN 1800-class DWDM transmission systems, supporting metro and regional optical networks where operators need to add or drop a small number of wavelengths without disturbing the rest of the DWDM spectrum.
