The Huawei BBU3910 is a compact baseband unit in Huawei’s 3900 series base station family, built as a more space-efficient alternative to the BBU3900 for sites where rack space is at a premium. Like its sibling, the BBU3910 shares the common baseband hardware platform used across Huawei’s GSM, UMTS (WCDMA) and LTE radio access products, accepting baseband processing boards from the WBBP, UBBP and LBBP families alongside main control and transmission and power interface boards, so the same chassis can support single or multi-mode radio configurations. The BBU3910 links to remote radio units over CPRI and to the transport network over E1/T1, IP or optical interfaces, and is commonly deployed for indoor, rooftop and space-constrained macro sites, as well as multi-operator shared installations.
