The Huawei WP11FG2A is an FG2a, an IP interface unit for the Huawei BSC6900 and RNC6900 base station controllers. The board provides electrical Ethernet interfaces, typically twelve FE and four GE ports, carrying the IP transport that connects the controller to the mobile core network and to IP-based backhaul. It is an interface and transport board, not a power distribution module. The FG2a installs in a PARC subrack and works with the switching (SCU) and processing (DPU/XPU) boards to move packet traffic through the controller, supporting the migration of GSM and UMTS controllers from TDM to IP transport.
