The Huawei WP1D000FG201 is an FG2c, an IP interface unit for the Huawei BSC6900 and RNC6900 base station controllers. It provides electrical Ethernet interfaces, typically twelve FE and four GE ports, carrying the IP transport that connects the controller to the mobile core network and to IP backhaul. It is a network interface board, not a fan or cooling module and not part of an optical transmission platform. The FG2c installs in a PARC subrack alongside the switching (SCU) and processing (DPU/XPU) boards, moving packet traffic as GSM and UMTS controllers migrate from TDM to IP transport.
