The IBM 16R0916 is a Bulk Power Regulator (BPR), part of IBM’s Bulk Power Assembly (BPA) family: the shared power-distribution subsystem used across the Power 595/795 and System z9 through zEC12 frame families. Its sibling Bulk Power components include the Bulk Power Controller, Bulk Power Hub, Motor Drive Assembly and various Distributed Converter Assembly variants.

The Bulk Power Regulator conditions and regulates the frame’s DC power distribution bus feeding the individual processor and I/O drawers. This is a genuine pull from a decommissioned frame.
