The IBM 39Y7349 is a 2900W hot-swap AC power supply for the IBM BladeCenter H chassis (types 8852 and 7989). Note that IBM issued an engineering change alert (ECA070) for a subset of this power supply: units assembled with an incorrect transformer ferrite core, identifiable by header code K12D3 and a serial number above roughly 6435SK, can eventually fail the transformer or trip over-thermal protection; units with header code K1034, or an earlier serial number, are the corrected build. BladeCenter H chassis fit up to four of these in a load-balancing, redundant configuration. Confirm chassis type and, where possible, the header code/serial number before ordering.
