The IBM 45D1125 is a Distributed Converter Assembly, DCA-CXE variant, documented in IBM’s zEnterprise 196 parts catalogue as a two-off component within that frame’s power subsystem. DCAs sit downstream of the Bulk Power Assembly and convert the frame’s distributed DC bus voltage down to the specific voltages individual processor books, I/O drawers and support elements need, with each DCA variant (CXE, EZ, T19, Z7 and others across IBM’s z and Power frame families) tuned to a particular load and connector configuration.
