The IBM 45D1205 is an 8GB DDR2 memory DIMM for POWER6-based Power Systems servers, IBM feature code #5696, CCIN 31BA. It is a 240-pin, 1Gx72, ECC registered module rated at 400MHz (low-current DDR2). ‘Nebula’ is IBM’s internal engineering codename for this memory family, not a marketed product name.

Feature #5696 populates the memory risers on POWER6 servers such as the Power 570 and Power 595, shipped as a low-current variant to fit the tighter power budget of higher-density memory configurations. Genuine DIMMs of this feature code are required when adding capacity to an existing POWER6 system or replacing a DIMM that has failed ECC correction thresholds. Mixing feature codes within a memory port is not supported.
