IBM 73Y4133: Flexible Service Processor card for pSeries/Power servers.

The IBM 73Y4133 is a Flexible Service Processor (FSP) card for the pSeries/Power server family, with the internal reference ‘PSailor’. The FSP is the dedicated management controller within a Power server, independent of the main system processors, handling boot sequencing, hardware monitoring and the out-of-band interface administrators and IBM support use to diagnose and manage the server remotely.

Power and pSeries systems of this generation remain in service across many established enterprise deployments running AIX, IBM i and Linux, and a working FSP is essential to system management and firmware updates even where the production workload itself continues to run.
