The IBM 74Y6832 is a 10Gb Integrated Virtual Ethernet (IVE) Host Ethernet Adapter with 4 ports, CCIN 2BDC, also known under sibling part 74Y5925, for the POWER7 9117-MMB server. It provides a combination of SFP+ and RJ-45 ports supporting both 10Gb and 1Gb Ethernet, built into the system’s I/O subsystem to give logical partitions direct, virtualised network access without routing traffic through a separate VIO server.
