The IBM 74Y7346 is a SATA slimline DVD-RAM drive, IBM feature code 5771, a genuine internal, low-profile optical drive for IBM Power and pSeries/RS6000 systems including the 6331-0 model. It reads CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-ROM and DVD-RAM media, and writes 4.7GB DVD-RAM discs, providing the system’s optical drive bay with local media capability for OS installation, firmware updates and diagnostic boot media where network deployment is not available or not preferred.
