Juniper P-2OC3-ATM-SMIR – Juniper M20, M40 and M40e routers. Two-port OC-3/STM-1 ATM PIC, single-mode intermediate reach.
The Juniper P-2OC3-ATM-SMIR is a two-port OC-3/STM-1 ATM PIC for the Juniper M20, M40 and M40e. Each port runs at 155 Mbps over single-mode fibre with intermediate-reach optics. It is the original ATM PIC, and the P-2OC3-ATM2-SMIR is the later ATM2 generation with the same port layout. It installs in a Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) slot, where the PIC handles framing and signalling for its media type before traffic passes to the Packet Forwarding Engine. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks Juniper interface cards, power modules and control boards for M-series routers.
