The Juniper SIB-M-S-E is a Switch Interface Board (SIB) for the Juniper M320. SIBs form the M320’s switch fabric, giving up to 640 Mpps of forwarding to the FPCs. The -E suffix is the hardware revision. It sits in the control-plane path between the Routing Engine and the rest of the chassis. It is hot-insertable and hot-removable, in line with other Juniper SIBs. It is a field-replaceable unit, supplied as a spare or an upgrade for an existing deployment.
